Legal Agreement & Disclaimers

Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 2026

Welcome to Apollo Diagnostic Center. These Terms of Service govern your use of our laboratory services, website, and home collection facilities. By accessing our services or submitting biological samples for testing, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

1. Medical Disclaimer

Apollo Diagnostic Center is a clinical laboratory dedicated to providing accurate testing and analysis. However, it is critical to understand the following regarding your test results:

  • Not a Diagnosis: Laboratory reports are diagnostic aids. They do not constitute a final clinical diagnosis, medical advice, or a treatment plan.
  • Physician Consultation Required: All test results (including allergy profiles, STD testing, PCR panels, and routine biochemistry) must be interpreted by a qualified and registered medical practitioner in conjunction with clinical findings and patient history.
  • Reference Ranges: Standard reference ranges may vary based on age, gender, and biological factors. Abnormal results do not necessarily indicate disease.

2. Patient Responsibilities

To ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our Six Sigma testing protocols, patients must adhere to specific requirements:

  • Preparation: Patients must strictly follow pre-test instructions, such as fasting for lipid profiles or blood sugar tests. Failure to do so may result in inaccurate diagnostic data.
  • Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing correct personal identification, age, and relevant medical history (e.g., current medications) at the time of registration.
  • Home Collection: For home sample collection, you must provide a safe environment for our phlebotomists and ensure you are present at the scheduled dispatch time.

3. Test Turnaround Time (TAT)

While Apollo Diagnostic Center is committed to "Fast TAT" through our automated CLIA and PCR infrastructure, turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees. Delays may occur due to:

  • Technical verification requirements (e.g., repeat testing for highly abnormal or borderline infectious disease results).
  • Equipment maintenance or unforeseen calibration requirements.
  • Force majeure events beyond our control.

4. Payment and Billing

The following terms apply to financial transactions for our pathology services:

  • Payment must be settled in full before the final release of diagnostic reports.
  • Prices for individual tests and health packages are subject to change without prior notice. However, once a test is booked and invoiced, the quoted price will be honored.
  • Refunds are not applicable once the biological sample has been processed in our Laboratory Information System (LIS).

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nepalese law, Apollo Diagnostic Center shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • The interpretation of test results by yourself or a third party without medical qualification.
  • Clinical decisions or medical treatments undertaken based solely on laboratory findings without physician consultation.
  • Any delays in reporting due to factors outside our direct operational control.

6. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes in our operational procedures, healthcare regulations, or new technology integrations. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
